Morning Prayer, Friday, April 26, 2024 - WORD(S) OF THE DAY:  DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS

Father God, thank You for wanting nothing but the best for me in this life and my prayer is to be patient in my waiting for Your next move.  Amen

“How truly I love you! We’re the best of friends, and I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health—that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul!” (3 John 1:2).

“You my dear was never meant to settle for less when God wants you to have His best.”   There are some people in our life who want nothing but the best for us while others cringe when they see us doing better than them.  God wants the best for each and every one of us at all times.  I think sometimes He wants more for us than we want for ourselves.  In 3 John 1, He says, "Beloved, I desire that you would prosper and be in health and that your soul would prosper.”   He also tells us in Deuteronomy 28 that He will bless us going in and coming out, that we will be the head and not the tail and basically that everything we touch will be blessed.  That is what God desires for us if we walk upright before Him, nothing but the best.  The problem is we are the ones who settle for less.  Sometimes it happens because things do not work out in the time we think they should so we settle and give up.  Listen, God wants each of us to live a grand life.  It may not always be peaches and cream because some days are just rocky no matter how you flip or turn them, but if we know that God has got us, we can get through it.  You will be happier and more at peace. Even when you are at your lowest, there will be peace.
